Green has always been my color. It was the grass stains on my knees as a kid, my undergraduate colors at Slippery Rock University and most recently the passion behind my studies.
My mother could never get out those grass stains, just as much as she couldn’t keep me from rolling around outdoors. The environment has always been my playing ground and it continues to be as I progress through graduate school at Kent State University.
As a journalism and mass communication student specializing in public relations, I believe that communication is a driving factor contributing to the environmental movement.
During my undergraduate years, I challenged myself in environmental science classes and obtained an environmental emphasis. I plan to use this knowledge to communicate on behalf of organizations striving to be more environmentally conscious.
Knowledge of environmental issues and ethical concerns are vital to communicate environmental messages in a meaningful way. I hope to share this passion with my peers.
